Zero Point Academy
Zero Point Gracie Jiu Jitsu Ghent falls under Chris Burns (Zero Point Gracie Jiu Jitsu Sydney).

Self-Defence
The only club in Ghent that still teaches authentic Gracie Jiu Jitsu (self-defence BJJ).
We practise techniques on each other, with resistance. This keeps it realistic and sporting.
We mainly use throws, locks and chokes, no punches or kicks, so we keep it responsible and proportionate.
We regularly fight ("roll") with gloves to teach us how to defend ourselves against punches and kicks.
"If you don't know self-defence, you don't know Jiu Jitsu".

Recreational
We support members who compete, but competition is not our goal. Our focus is on personal growth and long-term progress.
Everyone goes home a little better after every training session — whether you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner.
"1% better every day".

Train Safe
When we fight without punches or kicks, we train hard. This allows us to test our techniques in the best possible way and get a good workout on top of that. But when we put on the gloves and "Anything Goes", we hold back a little.
Most important rules:
You tap on time, and you let go immediately when your partner taps.
You adjust the intensity to your training partner: tall, short, beginner or advanced.
Anyone who does not respect these rules will not be allowed to continue training.
